About Allison
Allison Dankner’s deep background and training in psychology, education and mental health coaching arms her with skills needed to help teens and parents navigate life’s challenges and mental health issues. With an unyielding commitment to success for her clients, she serves as an advocate and coach to help teens and their parents develop strong self-esteem, behavior and other life tools required to achieve positive results. Her singular focus is on helping her clients feel better about themselves, and, as a result experience life with greater ease and enjoyment.
Her solutions-driven approach can be applied in a wide variety of scenarios. She helps parents with children diagnosed with ADHD or other behavior issues. Parents often hire her to help their children navigate the often-daunting road from middle school through college admission. Working hand-in-hand with parents creates a more positive outcome for struggling teens. Graduate students, adults fighting depression or couples facing a life challenge all turn to her for practical, life-changing skills. From help in selecting the best college fit to learning time-management, self-regulation or self-care techniques, Allison’s training and experience position her as an effective success-driven coach.

Surrounded by a mother, father, and stepmother all of whom were practicing, published psychotherapists, Allison learned from an early age the importance of self-awareness and having a specific plan in life. She carried that deep knowledge and understanding into college, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in education from Dowling College in Oakdale, New York.
She then worked for seven years as an English Language Arts (ELA) teacher and developed an expertise in the learning process at every level of the education journey. She also holds numerous certifications, recognitions and awards, including more than 135 hours of special education training, National Honor Society, Martin Luther King Day Readers’ Theatre. A featured Behaviorist for CHAAD of the Palm Beaches, Allison is a frequent presenter on numerous podcasts and media outlets and is regularly asked for input from parent and health magazines. She has also earned a professional certification from the Certified Life Coach Institute.
